Dindi Naturals
If you're looking to minimise waste in your home, the bathroom is a great place to start! Here at Dindi we realise it can feel a bit overwhelming to make the switch to low waste alternatives, so we've come up with our top 5 simple tips to get you started on your zero waste journey :
Make the switch and start using a hard shampoo bar or refill a mason jar/old container with our refillable natural liquid shampoo! No two shampoo bars are the same so make sure you're looking at the ingredients list too, many commercial shampoo bars still contain harsh chemicals or synthetic fragrances that are damaging to the environment and your health.
Why not try our rosemary, mint + jojoba shampoo bar or our tangerine, hemp seed + patchouli version?
If shampoo bars aren't your jam, you can try our 100% natural olive leaf shampoo which is available as a refill option at either of our Mornington or Yarck retail stores!
Did you know that you can you can also get hard conditioner bars? We offer a range of 4 different conditioner bars that can either be purchased in a reuseable metal tin, perfect for travelling with, or can be purchased completely package free. Our conditioner bars are as effective as liquid conditioners and leave your hair nourished with pure natural ingredients like argan oil, avocado oil and jojoba oil.
One of the easiest switches, and most common this #plasticfreejuly, has been purchasing natural bar soaps instead of liquid soaps.
Our bar soaps come in a 21 scent range and can be purchased either packaged in recycled cardboard or completely package free.
Bar soaps have been around for centuries and they're perfect as a hand or body wash, however our natural liquid soaps are also available as a package free refill in store too!
It's not always the cheapest option, but making sure you're only purchasing recycled toilet paper is a total must for any zero waste bathroom. Nowadays companies like Who Gives A Crap are dominating the recycled toilet paper market and providing us the option of completely plastic free packaging too.
The beauty industry has a lot to answer for when it comes to their waste production and chemical output, however we've been working really hard here at Dindi to make sure that there are some incredible, luxurious, low waste alternatives!
Our 100% natural face cleansers come packaged in a recycled plastic bottle that is perfect for being reused, and our best selling skin elixir and anti aging serum are all in reuseable glass containers
We hope you find these simple tips useful when considering how you can 'zero waste' your bathroom.
It may be another year until plastic free july comes around again but we're very hopeful that this is only just the beginning for many people when tackling or environmental impact!
