THE STORY BEHIND OUR PEPPERBERRY ROOM MIST
Inspired by the Australian native pepperberry plant, I incorporated finely ground pepperberry into the soap to provide gentle, natural exfoliation. It quickly became a favourite, developing a loyal following of customers who loved its rich, distinctive aroma. My sister was perhaps its biggest fan—it was always her favourite soap.
As Dindi grew, however, I discovered that not every handmade product could grow with us. The unique essential oil blend that gave Pepperberry its beautiful scent also made it increasingly difficult to manufacture on a larger scale. The soap simply wouldn't pour consistently, and after many attempts to overcome the challenge, I made the difficult decision to retire it.
Years later, my sister once again asked, "Whatever happened to that Pepperberry soap?"
Her question brought back memories of one of my earliest creations, and I began thinking about how I could bring that much-loved aroma back in a different way.
That's how Pepperberry Room Mist was born.
Rather than recreating the soap, I reimagined its distinctive scent as a room mist, allowing the beautiful essential oil blend to shine in a completely new form.
Blended with pure essential oils of native nerolina, ylang ylang, clove and black pepper, it's a fragrance that seems to mean something different to everyone. Some describe it as warm and spicy, others find it smoky and grounding, while many are drawn to its quietly sensual character.
To me, it captures the beauty of Australia's native botanicals with just enough mystery to keep you coming back for another breath.
Sometimes the best ideas come full circle. A favourite product may disappear, but the story, and the scent, can live on in an entirely new way.
